Welcome to A Tranquil Heart.  This site is intended as a resource and a reminder for Muslims living with anxiety and/or depression. My goal is to promote education, self-awareness, and self-care as essential to minimizing, and possibly avoiding, future bouts with depression or anxiety.  Through sharing my experience, research, and the tools I’ve gained,  I pray that this site is of benefit to others on similar journeys. Although I write from my experience as a Muslim woman and with the unique experiences of Muslim men and women in mind, anyone who finds support here is most certainly welcome.
